Building a Chinese search phrase in the order a seller would write it

Pick a shelf, tick what you know, say what you are starting from. The tool returns the phrase, a word-by-word gloss, and the one thing that shelf is known for getting wrong.

What you know about it

What to type, and where

黑色加绒卫衣

黑色 black · 加绒 fleece-lined · 卫衣 sweatshirt

Type the phrase into the Product Name field. You wrote the English yourself, so there is nothing worth pasting unchanged.

卫衣 covers both the thin crew-neck and the heavy hooded one. Without 连帽 or 加绒 you get both.

No data leaves your browser. The phrase is put together locally from a fixed word list, and Copy drops it on your clipboard ready to paste.

Where this phrase goes

Paste it into the Name field on the operator's own search bar, not into the box at the top of this page. That one searches a product catalogue in English, which is the opposite problem.

Word order is doing more work than the words

A single line of Chinese product title text, unbroken by spaces or punctuation, running about thirty characters
One title line, nothing else. Thirty characters, no spaces, no punctuation, and five separate claims packed into it. Archived 2026-06-16. Swipe on a small screen or open the image at full size.

Read that left to right and it is a pile of adjectives. Read it right to left and it turns into a sentence: a shoe, flat and soft-soled, in leather, black, for summer, for women, for work.

This tool puts descriptive terms before the category as a readable starting phrase. Seller titles vary; the order is a suggestion, not a required search syntax.

The slot order the tool assembles into. It is a convention in how titles are written, not a rule any platform enforces.

Three words is usually the ceiling

Start with a category and one or two useful attributes. Search systems handle wording differently, so try removing a term when the results are sparse or irrelevant. The tool does not query a marketplace or predict its matching rules.

Two words, usually right

黑色卫衣 returns far too much, and that is fine, because you are going to look at it.

黑色加绒卫衣 is the shape most searches should end at: one colour, one material, one garment.

Five words, usually wrong

男款黑色纯棉宽松连帽卫衣 is a perfectly good description of a hoodie and a poor search.

If this gives weak results, retry with fewer attributes and compare the listings yourself.

The tool names which word to delete first: the last selected attribute in its fixed display order. That is a simple retry suggestion, not a measured ranking of search terms.

What this tool does not do

It does not translate sentences. Feeding a machine translator a full English description gives you grammatical Chinese, and grammatical Chinese is exactly what product titles are not. The tool assembles labels, which is the register titles are written in.

It also does not know your item. It knows sixteen shelves and a vocabulary of attributes. If the thing you want is not describable with a colour, a material and a cut, you are holding a photo job, and the search modes page covers that case.

One shelf where Chinese is the wrong tool

Electronics is the shelf where this breaks down completely. Model codes are Latin letters and digits, they are exact, and a Chinese category word in front of one only adds noise. Type the code alone.
